Before the procedure:
Alcohol, coffee, energy drink and tea are not allowed to be taken 2 days prior to your appointment. Bleeding excessively during your appointment will affect the result of the procedure. These have blood thinning effect. Pain killers like ibuprofen, Tylenol are not allowed to be taken within 48 hours before your appointment for the same reason. If you are taking Aspirin, consult your doctor before holding the medication for a couple of days.
Whitening/brightening facial products should be stopped a week prior to your appointment. For example, products with retinol, vit. C, niacin, glycolic acid.
No Botox a month before and a month after the procedure.
After the procedure expected results:
Redness and swelling may be noticed after procedure. They will subside after a few hours. The eyebrows will look darker for 3-4 days. It will scab, crack and peel off. Itchiness is also expected. It takes 14-30 days to completely heal. RESULTS VARY FROM CLIENT TO CLIENT. SOME MAY NEED 1 TO 2 MORE TOUCH UPS. OTHERS MAY NOT NEED A TOUCH UP.
After care:
Wash the eyebrows gently 2x daily for 3 days. On the fourth day, apply a thin layer of the healing balm on the brows and avoid getting them wet until the brows completely peel off. Pat dry if brows got wet. Do not rub/scrub, then reapply ointment. No sweating for 14 days or until peeling off has completed. Sauna, workouts should be avoided at least for 2 weeks. Do not apply products with retinol, glycolic acid, vitamin c on the eyebrow area. Do not scratch the eyebrows when they are itchy. Please, when they starts peeling off, do not pick at it. Doing so lessens retention as pigment will go with the scab when removed prematurely. Let it fall on its own. Do not panic. This is a normal and expected part of the healing process. Do not apply any make up to fill in the patchy areas. Do not force your artist to give you a touch up sooner because we need to wait for the healing process to be completed. Trust the process.
Each client result varies depending on several factors.
Skin types, skin conditions, skin care, lifestyle, medications, after care. This is SEMI-Permanent and it fades over time. Final result vary for each client.
For Lip Blush clients:
Clients with a history of cold sore should visit their provider and ask for antiviral prescription. This procedure may trigger cold sore breakout. Take the medication 3 days prior to your appointment and three days after.
As precautionary measure for clients who never had cold sores in the past, I suggest to take over the counter antiviral medication three days before appointment and three days after.
Exfoliate your lips before coming in for your appointment. We don't want your lips chapped or peeling during the procedure. Moisturize.
